Drop-in sinks (or lay-in sinks) are typically more affordable and can be removed a lot easier. If you are remodeling or just want to change out the sink for newer one, a new stainless steel sink can give your kitchen an updated look. One of the disadvantages of a lay-in sink is water, food particles, soap, etc, tend to get caught on the lip of drop-in sinks. Over time, the caulking around the edge of the sink can get discolored and dirty.
Undermount sinks are usually more expensive and harder to remove and replace. But, debris from the countertops can be wiped off directly into the sink making clean-up super easy. Most of Rhino Design Build’s clients that are remodeling their home in San Antonio, choose undermount sinks. They give the kitchen a modern look when paired with granite or solid surface countertops.
We order all of our sinks online because it is cheaper and it shipped directly to us. Buying directly from a manufacturer cuts out the middleman (local hardware stores) and saves us money. We find the best deals at: Amazon Sinks.
